This is the classic 'stomach series' or 'series of 5' ab exercises that come near the beginning of every mat workout. When done properly, these exercises hit all the muscle groups that support and stabilize your spine, creating a more lifted posture and smaller waistline. If you only have a few minutes, this is a great way to warm up before you participate in sports, or whenever you need a break from your computer. It will flush the blood through your body, put some pink in your cheeks and make you look healthier in, well, 4 minutes.
