Backbends are a vital movement and key to a healthy back but they often have a stigma of being difficult or even scary. In this session, Lori teaches a progression of exercises that form the foundation of backbends and will help you understand and achieve the correct alignment that can make them fun. Once you’ve found the proper support, Lori focuses on bigger backbends and how to identify common mistakes so that the body maintains integrity throughout. The session begins using a Small Barrel to assist with fundamental exercises, moves to a Spine Corrector to open the chest and hips, and finishes with an advanced exercise on the Ladder Barrel.
