Get ready to find strength in your body that you didn't know existed! Michael's unique approach towards the classical moves you already know will return a spark to your workout while revealing more about your own body. It's crazy hard work but he moves at a slow pace to allow you to absorb his tips for customizing your workout to get just what you need. A strap to anchor your feet is essential to this lesson - if you're working out at home with a yoga mat, use the bottom of a heavy piece of furniture to help you access strength deep in your core and find an important pelvic stretch.     It has been some seven months since we last had Mr Michael Johnson Instructing and demonstrating the Mat Practice .
    Being selfish, as a Mat Person myself (don’t have or can afford Apparatus) I would dearly like to see further Mat contributions
    from this accomplished Gentleman.
    Can I be so bold and suggest Mr Johnson considers putting together Mat exercises focusing on –

    The “Posterior Chain Group of Muscles”.

    The Hips – Getting freedom into the hips that is so important to help us accommodate all the flexion demanded in the Pilates Mat Practice.

    Seldom if ever dealt with – Push Up Series to build strength – a whole body effort required.

    I am the ever hopeful!

    Absolutely delighted to see Mr Johnson back teaching and demonstrating the Mat Practice.
    After following this class on my mat at home, it goes without saying, that this Gentleman has a special understanding of how these exercises work in the body, as he so clearly articulated with his personal interpretation of the mat work, and indeed as mentioned in the introduction, he is “unique” with his explanations gained over some 34 years of Teaching.
    This is a treasure of the mat practice. (In my humble opinion as a Home Practitioner)
