Do you suffer from ‘Teck Neck,’ Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or shoulder and elbow pain? This short but powerful exploratory session into the incredible ways your arms and shoulders move can bring relief. Lori leads you through the fine and often underutilized articulations of the grip, wrists, forearms and upper arms that comprise the Pilates Boxing exercise. This practice strengthens the arms, retrains poor movement patterns and brings awareness to the ways we force our arms into unnatural positions for long periods. Filmed at Atlas Pilates where you can get Pilates sessions, Teacher Training and Physical Therapy.

Terrific stretching for neck, shoulders, arms, and wrists. I was looking for something to help get a kink out of my neck, and found so much more! One suggestion for Lori is to be mindful of language: she refers to an “Indian Burn,” which has negative stereotypical origins. I’d recommend editing that out.

After a long day of computing, this made my neck and shoulders feel more open. Crazy!
