Joe called his work an internal shower and in this workout with Victoria’s precise but flowing cues, you will clean out every last dusty corner of your body in a short 25 minutes and be on your way. Victoria is sought-after for creating gorgeous bodies that move with the kind of strength and grace normally reserved for dancers, boxers and swans. Now’s your chance to float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Victoria’s students for this workout, Gillian Rosenthal & Sara Bogle are both Pilates instructors themselves—you can schedule sessions with them and Victoria at Pilates on 66th, on NYC’s Upper East Side.

Thank you for a wonderful class I can fit in before work in the mornings. As everyone else said, the little reminders you provided during each movement helped me so much to use the correct technique and intensify the stretch.

Victoria, your classes are so clear and precisely cued. I enjoy the emphasis on length with heels, tailbone and back of the head weighted. My back always says ahhhh after one of your classes….my abs always say ouch! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I am going tonstop rating from my iPad because I definitely pushed the last star to give the class five stars but again it saves it as 3.5. Jack and Alyssa, can we modify a rating? Great class- love your cuing style!

May I ask you please, in the SIDE KICK -FRONT & BACK, you specifically cue to reach to the “waist” with the first kick, and then from this position, do the second kick toward the nose. Why is it important to commence the second kick from the “waist”? Thank you very much.

Great demonstration by your two Teachers.

I emphasis the waist as most people collapse in the waist when trying get the leg up. I think of making a wall with my center to lift my leg against to keep the sides of the waist long. Beware of the side kicks there are lots of little leaks where people twist, collapse and compensate. If I want the honest truth I practice the front side kicks with my back against a wall. Thank you!

Victoria, could you inform me about the breath in this teaser:exhale chin to chest , inhale lifting up ? Thks Monica

I usually do not specify breath in this exercise. It is pretty hard just to keep the body organized and breath control can sometimes complicate reaching the goal of the exercise. The teaser is a roll-up with the legs held at a 45 degree angle, so if I would indicate the breath I would use the same breath as the roll up: inhale to bring the upper torso off the mat, exhale to bring the lower torso off the mat, inhale the lower torso down to the mat, exhale the upper torso to the mat. Ideally in the advanced execution it would be in one breath: inhale roll up, exhale roll down. This is challenging breath control so as an intermediate mat I think working on the proper execution of the exercise and breath as you need to will keep from creating excess tension. Thank you for a great question! Warmly,
      Victoria

I made a mistake . I want to give to this class 5 stars . I don’t know why they are 2. For me this is the best Class!!!!! I love Victoria .

      Hi Reb,
The star ratings are apparently difficult to make accurate on touch screen so we are working on a fix that will simply allow you to change your rating. It will be a few more days but I’ll send an update when it’s ready.
