In this first Pilates workout since pregnancy, Alisa trains Estelle as she begins the journey back to her pre-baby body. Estelle is a former Broadway dancer and Pilates Instructor whose 2nd baby has made returning to exercise a real challenge and she's eager to start moving again. Alisa takes her through this full-body workout to restore blood flow, begin to rebuild her abs and increase endurance. NOTE: if you have breast pain when on your stomach, try using a pillow underneath your chest for support.

Hi! My focus as an instructor is prenatal/postpartum, and I’m always excited to find videos for this client group. I did want to suggest, though, that you mention diastisis in the description. I’m assuming Estelle has either a small or no diastisis and/or knows how to work her TA. But I, personally, would not encourage a client with a diastisis wider than 1-2 fingers – or any client less than 8 weeks postpartum – to curl up the head, neck, and shoulders.

Thanks Alisa for this awesome post baby workout! I’m so sick of being hunched over from breast feeding and lifting baby out of his crib and this workout is really re-building my core to get strength back. Thankyou!

Hi! This page has been a fantastic discover! Congrats 😉
Well, I’m a Romana’s Teacher from Spain, and I have some trouble viewing the videos, they get like stuck or something. They just stop so I have to refresh the page many times but anyway they stop again. My wifi connection is strong, other videos from youtube load fast, so…
do you have any similar problem?
    Thank you

Hi, I can’t get this video to work with my iPhone…is it just me?

    • Alisa Wyatt

Hi Alice! If you have a hard time playing on your iPhone it’s usually because the connection is slow–make sure you’re using a strong WiFi connection. If you still have trouble, send us a note in the feedback and we will troubleshoot with you.

Wonderful postnatal class. Its been many years since the birth of my last child, but I remember I had to be really careful about lying on my stomach because of the pressure on my breasts, I got a bad case of mastitis from doing exercises in a prone position. Wonder if it would work to put a pillow under the chest?

Arlene what a fantastic idea! I’m going to add that note to the class description. Thank you thank you!

As a mom coming back from maternity leave, this is the perfect workout to get started! I appreciated Alisa’s patience with Estelle and the and attention to the parts of her body that are going through change. I need a lot of work on my core and this has been a great daily routine for me to get back in my groove.
