Join Kathi for this incredible mat workout that puts together all of the exercises Romana gave to Kathi over many years of study. Some of these were taught to Kathi for the absolute first time while she was serving as Romana's demonstrator for presentations, so if it’s your first time too, remember to smile and have fun! This class is Super Advanced due to several exercises that roll weight onto the neck and for it's quick pace so be sure to practice any unfamiliar moves with your instructor before attempting them on your own.     Hi Kathy
    I love your classes so much and wish there were more:-)))))
    I want to ask if you have any tips for rolling back to standing leg rocker spine stretch combo or control balance.
    I have no problem doing this on the reformer but for some reason I can’t find the right connection on the mat.
    Any ideas??????

    Great fun! I didn’t realize how cruel the leg series was until I transitioned into the teasers. My butt was so tired that I could barely keep my legs up! Sneaky! I hope you don’t mind me asking a few technical questions:
    1) For the big hot potato (Idaho? Is that the real name for the variation?): Is the leg internally rotated during the taps?
    2) For the Seal: Do you typically set-up as you have demonstrated? I tried it as shown and it got me into a really tight position which I enjoyed (it felt surprisingly different) but would likely be challenging for most of my clients. I am just wondering if this is the ideal or a variation.

    Just did your class- sweating!!!!
    Only fell off the mat twice!! How the hell do you keep talking thoughout? I think you’re actually an alien!

    One word for this workout: Epic! I hope you produce more great advanced mat workouts for those of us without apparatus. This should become a series: Eve’s Mat, Carola’s Mat, Kathy’s Mat, Bruce’s Mat, etc.

    AHHH My FAVORITE type of question!!! Have you seen the Red Thread? LOL. there are many things that could be causing this- so without seeing you I am going to just generalize and touch
    so- I would work on my tendon stretch- leg back on the wunda chair
    bottom up leg springs
    and spine corrector
    be sure to keep the box square and length in the waist.

    Out of breath! Any suggestions for Control Balance? I can do it small. I am lifting hips, not hurting neck, working the opposition. But as soon as try to take leg to ceiling, tumble! Any other movement on other apparatuses that might help? Thanks again, Sue

    Had so much fun, smile on my face! ( trying to keep up ) Love the standing, demanding, dynamic work. Gosh, you are so blessed to have worked with Romana. As your students are so blessed to work with you!!! SO JEL! Will you ever do a workshop in Ft. Lauderdale, at Karen Winnselman ( excuse spelling ) Pure Pilates Studio? I have been wanting to do Roman’s Teacher Training but , funds are low ( Chinese disease )! I was so fortunate to take one workshop with Romana, at that studio. She was kind to let us( other trained peeps) get to be with her. The side of my head was in the news paper article about her. It was a wonderful experience. I gave her a card of gratitude for keeping the Method alive, and a 3 little Champagne Chocolates. They had to read it to her, but she called me in to say thanks. I was shaking like Dorothy talking to the Wizard of Oz . You might be one of the only people who will understand what this meant to me. I was a natural bodybuilder in the 80’s ( ugh)! Romana asked for two students to get on the Spine Corrector, ( my favorite ). I flew over to one and Carla Dunlap( former Ms. Olympia ) on to the other. Romana, teaching little ole me next to an amazing and gifted athlete, Carla. OMG! Sorry so long. Blessed me, big hugs, Sue Elliott

    Whoa, I’m so glad I didn’t embarrass myself in a studio doing this session – had to take a few breaks to catch my breath, especially after the half hour mark! What a great work out to work up to! Thanks!

    Firstly, may I take the opportunity to thank PILATESOLOGY for making this piece of work available to a home user like myself. So skillfully demonstrated and with “true grit”.Thank you very much indeed Kathi for sharing all of the exercises that Romana taught you. This to me, a simple mat practitioner, is a “treasure”.
