In this tutorial you'll learn why and when to choose the Small Barrel for your basic level clients as well as how to use it correctly to achieve your goals. Kathi includes key alignment tips like where to sit depending on flexibility or size, how to find the correct position to get the optimum length in your client's neck, and ‘To Pillow or Not to Pillow’—how to know if you need a pillow under the head and what size to choose. You’ll also learn when and why you should to use props such as a weighted bar, magic circle or arm weights to fix different issues. Note that Kathi refers to basic level exercises as Foundational and includes the Contour Mat as a tool used for the same purpose in this video.     Thank you, Kathi – you answered a question I had about when to use neck props, and how long to leave someone in extension – really helpful, PS. This may sound weird, but I’ve found that if I give this as a warm-up to a client of mine who usually struggles to roll up during the matwork, they can magically roll up with ease! It’s as if their back has been unlocked by the barrel! It never fails to amaze me! Wonderful x
