Learn tips and strategies for identifying and correcting scoliosis with Sabina Formichella, who has 20 years of study and published research on scoliosis and Pilates. Sabina's student for this video is her mom Carmen, who has pronounced scoliosis which causes one leg to appear longer than the other due to the shift in her pelvis. See exactly how to observe the imbalance and then how to correct it with cues while following the classical repertoire. On the day this session was filmed, Sabina's mom was experiencing low back pain (a common occurrence for those who have scoliosis) and she also has osteoporosis so this session reflects what is appropriate for both. Visit Sabina for teacher training, workshops and lessons at True Pilates Italia in Rome, where this session was filmed.

I have many clients with severe scoliosis with osteoporosis very similar to your Moms situation. It was incredible to watch you work with her. I learned many valuable ways to help my clients by watching and listening to you. It mentioned in your bio that you are published in working with Scolosis and Pilates. Would you mind telling me where I can find this publication. I also listened to your videos in italian to help me with my technical.

You are a very accomplish teacher with fixing the body in front of you, as Pilates was designed to do.
