Molly begins the class with sitting exercises in a chair—if you don’t have time for the whole class, this is a great section to do at your desk. The class continues with Pilates mat work to strengthen and stretch for a strong, pain free, and limber body. Molly gives tips for how to adjust the more challenging moves if you’re just getting started. For instance, she uses a firm pillow to help support the head and relieve any neck strain. You’ll also work on balance on the mat and while standing. The class finishes with a wonderful Pilates exercise done leaning against a wall to drain any last tension from the shoulders and lower back, improve your upright posture and give your legs a burst of strength to take you through your day.
