Do you wonder how to breathe correctly in Pilates? The Breath-a-cizer is a device invented by Joe Pilates that teaches how to engage the diaphram and control the breath so your lungs learn to empty completely. Getting all the air out is the key to wringing out pollutants and re-opening unused pockets in the lungs. The action of the Breath-a-cizer can also teach the correct position for the head and shoulders when on the mat. If you don’t have a Breath-a-cizer you can substitute a toy pinwheel. Kathi's Breath-a-cizer is available from Gratz Industries. For info on training with Kathi visit: KathiRossNash.com.

I just bought one of these today at the UK Classical Pilates Convention, so the timing of this video is great! Oh and Russell from Gratz said to me that the straws from McDonalds will fit!

This was great! Exhaling all the air literally felt like it had cleaned out my lungs and livened them up. Yes, I did run right out and order one 🙂 Thanks Kathi!

I liked how you had the three LADIES demonstrate very effectively the use of the “Breath-a-cizer” in STANDING, to peel the head up and then finally, in the supine position. Bet those LADIES felt their abdominal wall firing Big Time – as never before!
    Magic Stuff.
