Pilates was designed by Joe Pilates to give you ease in moving in all directions. Every time you do a Pilates work out you should be moving your spine through these 5 shapes: round, tall, side bending, twisting and arching. Sandy shows where the movement originates and how the body is properly aligned as Lyra demonstrates these 5 shapes in one exercise series – the short box.     Thank you for reminding two important cues on the tree… the arch is in the upper back and the head follows the spine! Nice straight back and beautifully performed side to side.
