Jay Grimes tells how Joe would sometimes challenge he and Romana to do just 3 Repetitions of each exercise in the mat work and that's exactly what Sandy and her student Carrie Macy demonstrate in this session. Sandy doesn't lead Carrie by telling her what comes next so that Carrie has to work her brain as much as her body. It's a practice that requires complete focus to know your exercises, transition through them smoothly with a minimum of movement and then do each of your 3 reps really well because you won't get extra chances to improve. Visit Sandy at Vintage Pilates where this class was filmed.

that was awesome, sandy & carrie! not only a great reminder to keep moving and minimize corrections, but that was the perfect 20 minutes to transition this body from teaching all day to enjoying happy hour. thank you!

Love the philosophy here in this very advanced workout, ‘keep moving, don’t over control, let your body find it while you are moving.’

Often come across the name Carrie Macy. Wish I could do my daily mat with such apparent ease and skill. Doing the Kneeling Side Kick with such fluidity clearly reveals a lot of practice and hard work to get to that standard. Thank you for sharing.

      Colin,

Happy to share my lessons with Carrie. She is a great example of hard work and great discipline. It’s a pleasure to work with her each week!

I watched this morning, but I’ll be doing the workout later with the goal of keeping the pace with smooth transitions! Thank you both for your work!
