How To Stay Consistent While Traveling
Staying consistent with your fitness & wellness routine while traveling can be hard work! No one wants to spend their vacation thinking about what they should be doing to stay consistent or what to eat and not eat. Vacation is the time to enjoy yourself! Here are our realistic tips to stay consistent in your health and fitness journey while traveling, plus adding in Pilates to your travels:
Go easy on yourself
First and foremost, go easy on yourself! It’s perfectly fine to enjoy your vacation and skip a workout or two (or five). Prioritize your happiness & experience first! Listen to your body and mind, if lounging by the pool with a margarita will make you happy – do it! If adding in a workout every morning will make your experience better, do it. The beauty in a fitness journey is that it’s personal to you. Do what feels good!
Plan ahead
Just like in your everyday fitness routine, one of the most important factors in maintaining consistency is to schedule in your workouts ahead of time! Whether traveling for leisure, business, or just visiting relatives, before you even head out of town, schedule in workouts to hold yourself accountable when on the road.

Drink lots of water & sprinkle in nutritious meals
It goes without saying, the best way to feel amazing before, during, and after traveling is by staying hydrated and eating nutritious foods. Water refuels and nourishes your body, especially after long flights and time zone changes. And adding in fruits and vegetables to your meals will keep you energized and nourished.
Tip: Map out healthy restaurants in the area before you arrive! This will help you in those moments when you’re hungry, quickly trying to find a place to eat, and fast food seems like the easiest option – *which is perfectly fine too!
