I practice Pilates for brain health and to feel good. I appreciate the focus and awareness challenge it presents to move your body. My background is in art. I am definitely not an athlete, but I always have needed to keep moving. Running was my go to feel good exercise, but I ended up with too many knee issues. Contrology exercises helped me continue to move but in a more mindful way. I completed Romana's Pilates program in 2008. My continued study of Contrology and the body led me to become an ELDOA trainer. My focus as a teacher now more than ever is mobility, posture, and brain health using awareness and breath as key ingredients.
