As Pilates teachers we often cue the Powerhouse to pull in and up. But as Lori Coleman Brown demonstrates here, we really want our clients to have access to those muscles going all directions. Grab a magic circle and find out how useful it is to engage your core in all ways including in and down, in and back, in and more. Lori then takes her students Am and Danielle through a dynamic series of exercises on the Swedish Bars aimed at using the spine in all planes. This challenging series is made much easier by the muscular activation the circle exercises provided and when needed, a reminder cue helps Am and Danielle improve their movement. Visit Lori at Atlas Pilates for lessons, Teacher Training and Continued Education Workshops.

      Hi Julie,
Glad you liked the class. Swedish bars are super fun. But you can see that the concept can be applied anywhere in the studio.
