Sandy Shimoda is back with Part 3 of her series on standing tall with ease. Join her students Lesley Logan, Keion Moradi Means, and Christina Pierson this time for a series of challenging exercises using light hand weights. Can you keep your back long and tall with even weight on your feet? It’s hard work but feels amazing because afterward and you’ll notice it’s easier to stand tall! Visit Sandy at Vintage Pilates.

Just wanted to ask if you would consider renaming this series.

“Stand Your Ground” struck me as a political statement, especially now with what’s happening in our country. For many African Americans, the Stand Your Ground Law brings up concerns about racial bias in the law’s application. Please see article below for more information on this.

    Your consideration is appreciated.

      Hello Mileta,

Thanks for writing in. Yes to renaming from my side.

I hope you enjoyed this version of standing well, in your feet, using the ground or whatever is available to help you connect your Center.

Thanks Sandy. I watched all three and really enjoyed going through the basics of good grounding as it’s so easy to lose it. I also appreciated seeing three different bodies and the way they moved.

Hi ewok! It is so nice to greet you all the way across the ocean. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this series. It was fascinating for me to watch these 3 strong bodies at work too!!
