Follow Kara through this Advanced Reformer and you will feel the work for days! Kara’s form is rock-solid as she brings her inspiring teaching style to you. Kara’s test for whether she’s doing a good job is if she’s dripping sweat by the end of the Long Stretch Series—are you sweating yet? This class was filmed at Kara Wily Pilates in Los Angeles.

    I’m definitely sweaty!
    Thanks!

I second Rshall and think that more cueing and counting would have helped. Also if you could state if the circles and movements are done on one leg or we’re alternating. I had no idea since it wasn’t announced on the variations. I think there is a happy medium of flow and cueing that’s possible. Like Alisa and Molly. Other than that it was a nice and vigorous class.

Thanks pele. I like watching Alisa and Molly too; they are very strong teachers and when they look at me in the camera, I feel them really speaking to me. I hope that I can learn to emulate their style more. I hope you can look past the formalities and gain something from the insights. Cheers!

      Kayfenton-

Good luck on your test! Thanks for your enthusiasm and I am glad you liked the workout. Yes, I hope to be filming some more workouts with Pilatesology soon, it is a great resource and one that I come back to time and time again as well. Many thanks and I hope to know you more. Best!

This was a great classical order for advanced reformer, but I would have appreciated more cueing, so that I could do the workout without having to look at the screen so much. It would help if you would name the exercise, give the number of repetitions, and would be nice to cue the breathing. Thanks!

Good to know! Sometimes I think that I need to keep the flow going–sometime it is just hard to talk and do :)! I will work on the counting too–I tend to just do it until a get a good repetition. Romana used to tell us that the only reason we repeat in Pilates is to do it better. Thanks for watching!

I have been looking for the arm spring videos on YouTube–is that where you saw them. Can you direct me to it and I can get some coaching from Jay and present it. Thanks.

There is old video of Joe doing ARM SPRING work with the springs attached to the side of a shed. Perhaps you could demonstrate the full series of exercises Joe performed liked this? Thank you.
