I couldn’t disagree more with the comment about videos like this one being too slow, and the complaint that students can’t learn from talking about the fine points of the work (especially when these fine points are presented and drilled during the exercises, as they are here with Kathi Ross Nash, who is brilliant). Ms. Nash gives vital, comprehensive guidance in fundamentals and technique that students on every level can incorporate. For beginners, this teaching is absolutely crucial; more experienced practitioners who have moved on to a quicker pace can use these classes to return to foundational principles, focus deeply on movement articulation, and to correct weak spots and bad habits. I have learned so much from these offerings because of the precision and attention to detail that a slower pace and a gifted teacher can provide. Thank you!

Thank you sooo sooooo much for you feed back! Teachers and students all learn in different ways. A beautiful thing is that pilatesology offers so many variables. I hope that people, as you did, understand the value of moving both quickly and well slowly. Goodness knows I love to move but working this deeply, this deliberately adds to the depth and nuance. ❤️

Really good class!, sometimes I am trying to look out for something clear to teach a pre-pilates to my clients because even if I say scoop, or tuck in the stomach, is difficult to understand for them, like this is a great way to open the back, love the class, and I love the observe this classes for the explanation, is really clear and helpful to observe, thanks!! =) love it

This was amazing, and I loved the more deliberate pace. I felt like I was really learning to do the exercises the way they are meant to be done, and for maximum effect. Thanx!!!

the trial videos are just too slow. There is no reason to talk about the fine points of the exercises; one learns them by doing them, or being talked through them. Too much chatter; too much rest; the best Pilates instructors develop a pace. It is nice that the people in the videos, practicing the Pilates, receive help from teacher, their leg or arm guided here and there. That helps them. It would help us too, if we were in the video, guided. But we are not, we are only watching and trying to imitate, so it is unhelpful.

Thank you for this valuable feedback Brett! You’re right, the classes represented on our Free Trial page do happen to be some of our more explanatory classes and we plan to change that this week based on your note. If you’re looking for a class that moves with a bit less explanation, try ‘Favorite Mat’ on the Free Trial page. Best, Alisa
