Hi Clare,
It seems that no distance can separate us :)! You’ve made me sweat that I’m in Hungary just like you did when I trained with you in Newburyport … Thanks for it ;)!
Just love the spine corrector and your workout on it, too!-

Hello Dear Agnes!
It’s been ages since we were together and I am so thrilled to hear from you. Doesn’t Pilatesology.com ROCK ? They make it possible for us to all still be together (somewhat) and learn from eachother even though we are continents apart. Thanks for your comment.
Hugs to you and your little ones, Clare

May I ask Clare!
1. Are these two ladies Pilates Instructors, and did you train them from the beginning?
2. Clare – If you only had the choice of ONE piece of Joseph Pilates Apparatus to perfect your practice on,given all your years of experience, which piece of Apparatus would you choose?
3. I really liked how you chose to integrate lots of posterior chain work into this practice, and the exercises are all in the matwork!
A word of Congratulations and Appreciation to these two ladies for their spirit and effort.-

Hello again! We seem to meet here a lot lately:)
1. Jen and Moe are Pilates Instructors. Jen went through her certification program with me and Pam Garcia. She faithfully takes weekly lessons now for I think it is 5 years and drives over an hour to get to me. Moe is also a studio owner, trained originally with Stott and came to me a little over a year ago “to get in shape”. They are both great students and practice what they preach!!
2. This is a tough one to answer. If you don’t count the mat as apparatus then it would be a toss up between the spine corrector and the wunda chair, but I’d miss the reformer and cadillac! They all have different effects on the body which is why the system works so well. My body needs different things depending on the day, what else I have been doing etc. so my goal is achieving balance.
3. Posterior chain work is a great feature of the spine corrector and yes, you can do so many mat exercises with it. By the way, I am still thinking about ways to adapt chair exercises to the mat.
These two ladies work hard for what they can do. And we have a lot of fun mixed in too! Thanks for your curiousity! You are welcome at my studio anytime.-
Thank you Clare very much indeed for a most complete, thoughful and considered response. I am full of admiration and respect for your two students, and especially, Jen who travels so far each week for a lesson.
Likewise, I am so very grateful to you for your offer to help in respect of adapting exercises from the Wunda Chair to the mat.
Most Gracious of you.

Hi Clare, As a former native MASS resident myself, I can appreciate your “wicked hard” comment after the push-ups 🙂
Thank you for your detail in the exercises and the bodies. I am going to try the standing ending on the barrel. I have not done that before!-
