Molly’s father has Parkinson’s disease and here she shares the workout that they do together. Parkinson’s is a chronic & progressive disease that affects the Central Nervous System, with symptoms that include tremors, a shuffling gate, difficulty with fine motor skills and balance, stiffness and muscle weakness. If you have Parkinson’s Pilates can help you maintain your strength and flexibility. Apparatus Note: For this workout, you’ll want a set of 2 pound arm weights and a towel to hook over your foot for stretching the legs. Molly does the workout seated on a Cadillac--you can do this workout on a bed or a couch if it's difficult to get down on the floor.

Hi Molly, My father also has Parkinson’s disease. I believe it must be genetic, since his own father also had the condition. This lovingly composed workout is a gift. I hope to try it with my dad soon. Thank you! Best of luck. Karlynn H.

My vote was a 5 star, Molly, but I can’t seem to get my mouse to cooperate! Hence, why I loved this work out; I need the fine motor work. I am dealing with an auto immune disease myself and suffer from chronic pain and inflammation which has kept me from exercising for 2 1/2 years. Your session is brilliant in it’s simplicity and effectiveness. You covered all the bases that a person like me needs in a safe and well-balanced session. The right amount of work that won’t overtax my system and cause worse pain and inflammation. Thank you!
