In this workshop, First Generation Teacher Jay Grimes teaches a group of classically trained instructors who all went through Romana Kryzanowska's program. Jay goes through exercises that he has seen re-interpreted over the years and explains in simple terms how he learned them from Joe. It's a clean-up session that will help you understand the purpose, goals and cheats that commonly sneak into the work and will remind you of the simplicity and common sense that Jay adamantly wants his students to find. Filmed at the 2013 Arizona Classical Pilates Conference – to learn about upcoming workshops like this one please visit The Pilates Core.

So interesting, so happy for watching this video. I had some eternal questions about why this or that exercise is done one or the other way, and this video clarified it. Thanks so much for sharing it!!!

I’m always trying to get the number of caca-poopoo-sheeshee’s down to a minimum when working with Jay. He’s such a clear, generous teacher. I can’t tell you how valuable it is to view these workshops- even after participating in person I still learn so much viewing. Thank you Alisa and Jack. 🙂

Thank you Jay. There were lots of specifics in this video. I especially liked the clarification of the round back behind the box during tree. I really appreciate being a part of this conference from afar. Thank you Pilatesology!
