For beginners with a small amount of space to dedicate to your workouts, I recommend starting with a Gratz Low Folding Mat along with a few accessories like the Magic Circle & Weighted Bar to spice up your routine and you’re off to a great start.

If you’re a seasoned practitioner wanting to set up a home studio you can’t go wrong with a combo Reformer/Cadillac unit like the Instant Half Cadillac Conversion with 89″ Pilates Universal Reformer, or even better, the Instant Full Cadillac Conversion; both pieces give you all the benefits of the Reformer, Mat and Cadillac/Tower Springs. My own home workout space is small so I keep a Wunda Chair set up as a chair in my living room and if I had just a little more space I’d squeeze in an 80″ Archive Reformer.
