You might not realize it but the toes are connected to the hips, glutes and core. If you have trouble with your feet or toes, you need to strengthen them through functional movement that connects them to the rest of the body. Using the Toe Corrector, Kathryn Ross Nash will bust your bottom, building strength that radiates all the way down through your feet. This is the magic of Pilates—by creating a strong center, we support the limbs. For this class, you’ll need a Toe Corrector (buy one here: Gratz Pilates, or substitute a thick rubber band like you would find on broccoli), a towel, 5 marbles of any size, and a pencil. Thanks to our model, Instructor Lauren Montefusco Pilates Perfection and Massage in Greenwich, CT.  You can also find Kathi's fantastic book on feet at Amazon.com: Fix Your Feet Using the Pilates Method. I’ve decided that this is my monthly gift to myself (and students), to get to know my butt from my toe. Each time I watch(and do) this, it’s a better connection, and who doesn’t love community! Blessings Kathi, and charming Lauren.

this video is great! I’ve done it a number of times and always feel my butt for days afterwards! Iknow this an old video so don’t know if anyone is replying to this thread anymore but i have a question for Kathy or Alisa or anyone who may know, but is my weakness in pressing down my big toes related to the weakness in my glute max? thank you Kathi!

I have knee issues, saw a PT who gave me all the usual leg strengthening exercises. But I realized that the small bunion that was developing was the problem. When the toe is aligned, my knee feels better. This class helps with just these issues. So much for my PT!!

Kathi you are a gem in your jewel-encrusted toe corrector! Thank goodness for you and your talents or much of this work would never be brought to life from the place of passion and authenticity you so naturally embody. Great video!

Great video! Quick question… when you work with the toe corrector, if you are sitting on a chair instead of on the floor, when you rotate the foot outward should the knee also move outwards? Thanks!

    Great class…!
Amazing to see what we can do with our feet, and how much we forget about them…..
But it takes a lot of practice and talent, as Kathi has, to teach such a class…..
Thank you for inspiring us Kathi…..!
