Join Victoria for a creative and fun twist on the classical mat by using a hand towel to intensify the work. Moving at a deliberate pace that forces you to use precision, Victoria brings her keen eye for detail to help you wring more out of each move. Her cues will help you connect where you need strength and stretch where you lack flexibility. You can do this workout anywhere you find yourself—hotel rooms, at home, at the office—anywhere you have a regular hand towel and a place to lie down. I’m totally worn out. In a really good way! Learned a LOT!!! Thank you!!
Great teaching liked working with the towel.
Fantastic! One of the best Pilatesology classes!
Great Victoria! I had a shoulder capsulitis last year and this is just perfect for working on scapular symetry. Thank you!
I consider myself advanced and this was a very challenging lesson. Absolutely are loving you Victoria. Phenominal cueing and insight. Loved too many things to list but faves include single leg kick, wow, wrists down….hard; rolling like a ball, a new low belly fave, criss cross (belly series); and the pushup! I can do pushups all day but was shaking in my plank. Alisa, were you sore in those shoulders? Thanks ladies!!
Yep, I felt my arms for days!!
Victoria you are a wonderful Pilates teacher,
I learn a lot from you with towel.
I hope you keep following ….. Special thanks
Monica
I particularly like how you emphasised getting into the back muscles.
Perhaps you will do more of this “dynamic approach to stabilization” Mat Methodology for us to include the entire Mat series! Thank you again.
Absolutely loved this simple prop and cue for opening out the shoulders and the progression to working with an imaginary towel! This is a lovely piece in the puzzle of how to move and work the shoulder girdle while keeping good form. Good shoulder alignment and stability here we come! I think everyone I know could benefit from these exercises. Thank you so much Victoria !
Thank you for all your thoughts! This tool is wonderful for all body types it works for both stiff upper backs and the hypermobile equally. I find it is a more dynamic approach to stabilization. I greatly appreciate the feedback!
Really liked all the precision points, and beautifully executed. Thank you.
Solid foundation, great reminders of the “Work” in all these mat exercises.
