Monica Felix
Mónica Félix obtained her Classical Certification in 2008 and since then she has been committed to preserving and transmitting the legacy of classical Pilates at her IRON PILATES studio, located in the city of Boca del Rio, Veracruz, México. Year after year she travels to the United States and Europe, to further her continuing education and the refinement of her personal practice by attending numerous courses, conferences, and private lessons with the most recognized world-class teachers.
Mónica assures that it was only after gaining strength, control and having a greater understanding of her body and breathing thanks to the Pilates Method, that she decided to venture into the practice and competitions of high-performance sports. She has made several sea kayak expeditions in both Mexico and Spain and has been a champion in the master category of this discipline, as well as in Stand-Up Paddle. She is also an outstanding ultra-marathoner running trail races in places ranging from the Copper Canyon in Chihuahua to the Alps in France and Switzerland. She currently declares herself passionate about open water swimming and participates in 5 and 10k competitions and island crosses.
Using all this extensive baggage of movement, adventure and resistance, her classes are characterized by their intensity, strength, passion and for proposing new and fun challenges to her clients both athletes and regular people, with the certainty that any practitioner regardless of their age, physical condition, or level, can push their limits and take their body to reach its full potential.
Mónica is very committed to grow the Classical Pilates Education in Mexico, currently Monica hosts in her studio Fabien’s Menegon Teacher Training Program.
