In this workshop, Dorothee works with a group of teachers to sharpen the skill of communicating effectively with clients and to create change through effective teaching. She pairs off the group and has them work with each other while offering notes on what she sees. Afterward, the teachers share what they felt co-teaching each other and Dorothee takes them to the exercises she felt everyone could gain a deeper understanding of. Watch and you'll get teaching tips on from specifics like when to add a clip to the lengthen the spring on the Pedi Pole to more general ideas like how to observe the body, how and when to touch your client, what you might do differently with a stiff man vs. an overly flexible dancer, and much more. Visit Dorothee for Teacher Training, Pilates lessons, and workshops at her studio in Seattle, Metropolitan Pilates.

Incredible. Pilatesology: please work on improving audio. Many of the student questions and comments were inaudible.

Hi Lisa, There are now subtitles for questions that were difficult to hear. Appreciate your feedback :).

What a workshop! Fantastic, inspiring, refreshing, informative; how happy and grateful are we in central Europe with so very little of classical pilates; just a few great exceptions being Italy, Spain and Portugal, having access to this indispensible resource of knowledge, support, inspiration and much more:) Thank You Pilatesology, and Thank You Dorothee (The Black Swan of Pilates!) for your charm, sense of humour, attitudde, dedication to your clients, teachers and friends:) And one more time – PLEASE Alisa and JAck, have us all gather somewhere in Europe next year bringing us the best US teachers ever! Let it be!
