Join Simona Cipriani in this fascinating workshop, where she guides her client Lisa (3 weeks post-op on her torn meniscus) through a special routine that's guaranteed to speed up recovery and keep you and/or your clients strong and in shape! Simona carefully sets you up for each exercise by pointing out what to avoid and explaining which body parts affect the knee and how to take advantage of it. Considering the body's tendency to compensate for the traumatized area, she prevents it from developing "bad habits" and future damage by hard-wiring proper knee alignment into the brain to be used as "default" for all other forms of daily-life movement. She wraps the whole workshop up with answers to questions involving how soon to start Pilates after surgery, or the role of Pilates in post and pre-op physical therapy. Visit Simona at her studio The Art of Control at SUNY Purchase.

Dear Simona,, Just 7 weeks after total knee replacement, I am back in the game. Thanks to this strategic workout you designed for me and your abundance of Pilates knowledge, I knew I was in good hands with you before and after my 2 knee surgeries. Looking forward to many more years of Pilates together????
