In this workshop for teachers, Kathryn Ross Nash shares how she helps the athletes she works with jump higher and better. The power of the jump comes from your center, buttocks and feet and proper alignment of the body is key to maximum propulsion and injury prevention. Learn how to combine and connect strength and hone alignment with the Jumpboard, Pedi-Pole, Electric Chair and Foot Corrector. Kathi takes students from the class and offers her own observations for finding patterns of imbalance in a body and then how to build what’s needed to gain mobility or stability. Filmed at the Az Classical Pilates Conference. For info on attending future workshops like this one please visit The Pilates Core. For info on training with Kathi visit: KathiRossNash.com.

Such a helpful learning tool! I love that Kathi starts this workshop with one teacher, and is able to illustrate the whole “jump” process using the method and various apparatus to build the appropriate connections….being able to watch the participants and hear the questions made me feel as if I were there attending, and I am jealous I was not. Thanks for sharing!

The problem is still there, but this video is so valuable to see the “line” on different bodies. I learned that with awareness, you can see all you need to know when a client moves through just the first 5 mat exercises. Kathi, you are wonderful, and I thank you so much!

Thank you again Kathi Ross Nash!
Identified exercises that can be done on the mat, for example, where you were using the chair with soles of the feet together, sitting tall, and we can use arm weights instead of springs. You did this in a previous video! Just one example.of many.
Never knew that legend has it, that Joseph Pilates had his skiers hold the squat position for 20 minutes.
Your a Classical Pilates library of information. Thank you for sharing.
