Rebecca's Pilates journey began about 13 years ago, after the birth of her first child. As a former dancer, she fell in love with the mind-body connection as well as the focus and concentration that both principles demand. She grew up dancing and felt a natural connection to Pilates CORE fundamentals. She's always found movement to play a vital role in nurturing her own well-being, and incorporating Pilates into daily life has brought abundant benefits. Besides the physical transformation, she found that she was more focused, balanced and energized throughout daily activities. Rebecca began her Pilates certification in June of 2017. After training wholeheartedly for 16 months she completed the comprehensive 700 hour Classical Pilates Certification Program through ProperPilates Studio under both Third Generation Pilates instructor, Andrea Chesek and Second Generation instructor, Penelope Wyer-Barrow. Since completing her certification she has taught over 1500 hours of group classes, private and semi-private sessions. In addition to teaching hours, she has regularly attends workshops to continue her education. She has attended workshops with highly regarded classical Pilates instructors including, Brooke Siler, Dana Santi, Kathi Ross-Nash, Blossom Leilani Crawford, Chris Robinson, Murat Berkin, Gloria Gasperi, Inelia Garcia, Alisa Wayatt, Larry Gibas, Joel Crosby, and Penelope Wyer-Barrow. Rebecca is also a member of the APU, Authentic Pilates Union. Rebecca prides herself on creating a safe, friendly environment where egos are left at the door. Rebecca finds great joy in helping clients feel better and in teaching them how to incorporate the Pilates principles into their everyday life. When Rebecca isn't teaching she enjoys improving her personal Pilates practice, watercolor painting, home projects, hiking and spending time with her family.
