Nikki was first introduced to Pilates to complement her extensive dance training. As a dance major at Old Dominion University, Nikki was awarded the Liberace scholarship and performed with the ODU Ballet and the University Dance Theatre. In 2006, Nikki was asked by her Pilates mentor to join her team of talented teachers and become a professionally trained Pilates instructor. After completing her 700 hour apprenticeship program with the world renowned Romana’s Pilates organization, Nikki taught Pilates at several venues before partnering with Kelly Delyannis at Mind Body Works. Nikki continues her Pilates education by working with master teachers all over the country. She is a highly accomplished professional who believes in the power of the mind. An expert at teaching the mind/body connection, Nikki prides herself with the ability to tailor a workout based on the energy and capabilities of each student. Authentic Pilates has enhanced Nikki’s overall health and wellness. She has recovered from injuries and significantly increased her core strength and flexibility. Nikki believes in the power of Pilates and enjoys teaching and encouraging others to find the same positive results.
