Profile
I began practicing Pilates nearly a decade ago, when I discovered it was a great complement to my marathon training and interest in fitness and nutrition. I'm originally from the beautiful coastal area of Encinitas, California, where I have always led an active and healthy lifestyle; running marathons, traveling the world, hiking mountains and walking countless city miles.
After moving to San Francisco, I discovered the classical method of Pilates, which was challenging and beneficial for me, and that's how I deepened my love of Pilates. I then sought out an in-depth classical training program to become an instructor. Under the guidance of my trainer Martt Lawrence, and master teacher trainer, Dorothee VandeWalle, I spent a year as an apprentice in the Metropolitan Pilates Authentic Training program where I earned my classical Pilates certification.
I always credit Pilates with strengthening my body, as well as my mind. I am now stronger, with much improved posture, flexibility, and a very strong core. Pilates leaves me clear headed with the ability to sharpen my focus on the things that lie in front of me. I teach with passion and enthusiasm and am an active supporter of those seeking healthy changes in their lives. I want my students to progress with their goals and enjoy their workouts.
