Profile
Growing up on a farm and as a gymnast, I always had movement and work ethic in my body. After college I was an avid cyclist, taught spinning, and a runner. I was a gym rat as you might say and found myself with a pelvis issue in 2001 with the birth of my son. My pelvis has partially split and I was sent to physical therapy with the hopes of making it better, but never having it come back. My personal trainer introduced me to this then girlfriend (Jenna Zafino) and I was onto my Pilates path. It helped my pelvis tremendously and led me to my love of The Pilates Method. I added Pilates to my teaching and couldn't get enough. After teaching for other studios, I moved about 13 miles due West of Chicago and opened my own studio in 2008 where I became a Teacher Trainer for Power Pilates, and their Regional Director for Chicagoland. I am in good company with many of my fellow teachers always seeking more. I have studied under Bob Liekens, Kathi Ross Nash, Jay Grimes, and Dana Santi. My passion for the Classical Method is deep and I hope to continue to be a student of this method for the rest of my life.
