Amanda has enjoyed a lifetime of movement, beginning with an early introduction to dance at age 4. She started her teaching career in 2002. Amanda is a versatile and intuitive teacher with the ability to work well with all types of clients. Her teaching journey arose from a spine disorder that began causing her pain in her mid-20's. She has since self-healed through the Classical Pilates and GYROTONIC® methods. It was this experience that inspired her to begin teaching, so she may help others who seek relief from chronic pain. A compassionate healer at heart, Amanda believes teaching movement is a way to celebrate being alive and functional. It also keeps her in touch with what matters in life. In addition to being a Certified Romana's Pilates teacher and an Authorized Pre-Trainer in both the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methods, Amanda has earned advanced certifications for Scoliosis, Pre- and Post-Natal, Breast Cancer rehabilitation, Osteoporosis, and disorders of the hands and feet.
