Profile
I'm a Southern California native who found Pilates in 2013. During a brief stay in San Francisco, CA, I stumbled upon a Pilates studio near my apartment. Despite being a lifelong gym-goer and self-proclaimed "meathead," Pilates was entirely unfamiliar to me. After just one session, I was captivated! Pilates unlocked movements in my body that I never imagined possible, fostering a profound sense of strength from head to toe. In 2015, I took a leap of faith, leaving my tech job to pursue a career in Pilates. That same year I completed my 500-hour comprehensive certification and I've never looked back. Wanting more, I've devoted myself to continued education with different masters of authentic Pilates through lessons and workshops, persistently refining and broadening my skills in the classic repertoire. For the past five years I’ve primarily honed my craft under the guidance of esteemed teachers Chris Robinson, Mariano Dolagaray, Angela Leone, and Katie Yip. My studio, Body of Work, came to be in 2020. The world may have stopped but my Pilates practice flourished! With no access to studios, I invested in my first pieces of Gratz equipment—a Reformer Tower combo, and a Wunda Chair. From that moment on, my little studio that could kept growing. We now have a high chair, ladder barrel, small barrel, spine corrector, folding mat, Ped-O-Pull, foot corrector, and baby chair. Gratz is the only equipment I will ever buy because it's simply the best! My life's mission revolves around understanding the transformative power of consistent and deliberate movement on the body, mind, and spirit. Physical fitness serves as tangible evidence that with time, dedication, and intentionality, one can achieve their goals.
