INT to ADV Mat Progression

Progressive Pilates Series

For the complete program

The sixth class in our series with Kim Reis adds the advanced skill of supporting your body in a plank. Planks build crazy core strength and shoulder stability - Pilates takes it a step further by flipping it face up and down and adding movement to the mix in the Leg Pull Front and Leg Pull Back exercises. This is a tough workout for those who need upper body strength so if you find it difficult, take a day off and repeat until you feel some progress! Need more help? Check out our series with Victoria Torrie-Capan called Master the Plank or for quick tips, the Pilatesology Encyclopedia. Visit Kim at KimReis.com. Want to do the whole series? Click HERE
