Pilates Teacher

Katie began her apprenticeship with Chris Robinson at S6 Fitnesin 2010, and then completed her 700 hour comprehensive certification under Brooke Siler and Cary Regan at re:AB Pilates in 2013.

Outside of the Pilates domain, Katie earned an MA in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University and a BS in Physiology & Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego.

In addition to her formal training, she holds a certificate in the Complete Pilates Method Continuing Professional Education with Chris Robinson as well as a certificate in the Pilates Professional Advanced Teacher Training (PPATT) with KRN NY Pilates. She continues to study under the close mentorship of Kathi Ross-Nash and was hand selected as part of the PPATT Teachers of Teachers program.

She was featured on the cover of the July/August 2019 PilatesStyle Magazine and on the cover of the July/August 2014 Women’s Health Magazine Next Fitness Star competition as a top five finalist. Katie is a regular contributor to both Women’s Health Magazine and BuzzFeed News, and can be found as a model in Kathi Ross-Nash’s Pilatesology tutorials, The Red Thread of Pilates textbooks, and Brooke Siler’s Women’s Health Big Book of Pilates.

Katie’s approach towards training is informed by her view that all exercises within the Method, from foundational to advanced, share the same movement principles. Every Pilates program she creates is unique to the individual and is based off his or her needs and goals.

Katie is the founder and owner of Paradigm Studio, a Pilates studio based on the Upper East Side of New York City.
