If you're looking to understand exactly what is happening to our bodies when we do Pilates, this series is for you! In it, Simona Cipriani and her husband, Anatomy Professor Dr. Joe Muscolino, show and explain movement anatomy in the Pilates mat exercises. In this fifth of 5 Parts, they address the Jackknife Exercise. Visit Simona's studio in Stamford, Connecticut at The Art of Control and Dr. Joe Muscolino at LearnMuscles.com.

I am so grateful to both: Lady Simona, and Dr. Muscolino for their invaluable, in-depth and simply practical tuition; there's never enough anatomical knowledge that a Pilates Teacher should possess, not so much to be proud of it, but to understand how the human body works. I humbly ask for more:)

This intro series to muscle movement vs muscle stability can help us determine what's needed to build the exercise. Also, that reminder that we build (not change) the exercise is important. Thanks!
