There’s nothing like seeing the incredible feats that athletes perform (not to mention those beautiful bods) to inspire some healthy workout goals. If you’ve been watching closely, you’ve probably noticed a lot of Olympians doing their Hundreds and Roll Ups in behind-the-scenes TV coverage. Olympians, they’re just like us!
How about a round of applause for these 2012 U.S. medalists who list Pilates as a major component of their training regime:
Sprinter Sanya Richards-Ross, Gold in 400 meter race
Swimmer Dana Vollmer, Gold in the 100 meter Butterfly plus a new world record
Swimmer Natalie Coughlin, tied for Olympic most-decorated U.S. female swimmer of all time and shares the Bronze medal for the 400 meter Medley
Divers Nick McCrory & David Boudia, Bronze in Men’s Synchronized 10 meter Platform Diving (they’re doing the 100 mid-dive!)
Pilates rocks the Olympics! Now it’s your turn to work out like these champions, ready, set, go!…
We at Pilatesology believe that each and every one of you is an athlete and that it’s never too late to start enjoying the body that moves you. Just think, with a fraction of the dedication that our Olympians give to their sports, you just might do some amazing things. Maybe more than once.
